  • 2. Do you know the temple establishment and temple running process?


    To understand the establishment and running process, we had several meetings with the following and constantly in touch with people of expertise:
  • Herning temple (2012)
  • One meeting, shared their experience.
  • Nestvæd temple (2015-2016)
  • Had 2 meetings: shared their experience in establishment and other processes.
  • Stenlille temple (2014-current)
  • Shared their experiences during fundraising, construction, and maintenance phase.
  • Regular meetings with experts
  • Bharatiya Mandir (2011-current)
  • Regular meetings with Boards
  • Also had several meetings with founding board members.
  • TTD (2011-current)
  • Reached TTD Chairpersons between 2011 – 2018 and discussed the possibilities of the funding for the temple in Demark.

    3. How can we trust you?


  • This is not trust on individuals. The trust is based on the systems and process that are being followed by our organization. Mana Samskruthi organization is approved by the kommune, monitored by SKAT, CAs, Banks will monitor fund in and out flows. All the decisions must be taken by the active Board.

  • 4. Is there a specific reason for choosing these Temples?


  • Dattareya Swamy (Resembles face like Lord brahma) – Guru parampara
  • Venkateshwara swamy (Vishnu)
  • Shiva (Maheshwara)
  • All three gods, Brahma creator, Vishnu servivour and Shiva destroyer of universe.

    5. What and who is the governing body?


    Organization structure:
    1. The Founding Committee is the face of the organization, created the momentum and developed the idea. The Founding Committee has predefined roles and responsibilities. This committee will be honorary for lifetime.
    2. Governing body / Board which will be chosen from you*, with predefined roles and responsibilities.
  • You - donor will have option to become a member of the organization who can be nominated to be a member of the board
  • Membership categories (2023 prices)
  • Membership fee 200 kr per year for each family (2 + 2 minors)
  • Membership fee 100 kr per year per person
  • Board structure (minimal requirement)

  • Board starts from Jan 2022
  • Board validity is for 2 years.

  • Volunteers / Seva committee :


    These committees will be formed and dissolved as per the needs to accomplish goals.
  • 2021 - 2024 Land committee - location, agents, permissions, etc
  • 2024 - 2027 Architect committee - temple, sewage, electric, plumbing, etc
  • 2021 - 2024 Authority coordination committee - kommune, tax, govt, etc
  • 2021 - 20xx Public relation – promotion (print and electronic media), etc
  • 2021 - 20xx Website, social media, etc
  • 2026 - 20xx Temple committee -
  • Multiple Seva Committees will be formed to execute day-to-day activities and temple maintenance.

    6. What is the role of the founding committee?


  • If, an idea is the reason to start, setting up a great team is fundamentally the most important role of a Founding Committee (FC). FC shall be responsible for the management and administration of all the affair of the organization. FC has the authority to appoint any Executive Members to look after the organization activities until the formation of a Working Board that can be elected by members. Formation of Working Board by conducting elections is carried out under the supervision of FC. Founding Committee can modify roles and responsibilities of Working Board or Committees. FC may represent the organization before the authorized government sectors and similar organizations. This Committee Members are honorary till their lifetime. In case of complaint against any Working Board Member, FC along with President have empowered to suspend discharge and to take disciplinary action.

  • 8. What is the project execution plan?


  • The whole project will be accomplished in a phase wise manner. However, the execution will be based on the availability of funds.
  • First Milestone: Land acquisition

  • Third Milestone: Community Hall

  • 9. What is the exit plan?


  • Mentioned in §12 of articles of association which were submitted to Kommune.

  • 10. Is the location of the temple finalized and 25 acres is a rigid goal?


  • The Founding Committee is approaching various kommunes for the land, in and around Greater Copenhagen. The proposed project layout is designed in 25 acers. Our ambition is to make the project which has more scalability, as there will be scope of extension for future generations. However, several parameters such as, location, availability of land, city local planning of the kommune, approval from kommunes and funds may influence the final output.

  • 11. Is this proposal discussed with local authorities, kommune?


  • Mana samskruthi has submitted the aims and objectives of the organization while registering with the Herlev kommune. Apart from this, the Founding Committee has approached city planning bodies of various kommunes - Herlev, Gladsaxe, Roskilde, Ballerup, Kgs. Lyngby, Furesø.

  • 12. Maintenance - how will this be done, any plans on that?


  • The organization has self-sustainability projects planned such as renting the community halls, donations, sports centers, renting farming lands and also mainly voluntary services.

  • 13. Have you visited any other temples of this scale? Any plans for that?


  • Contacted other temples in DK and EU to know about establishing such temples.

  • 14. What is the cost of the total project? And how will this be structured?


  • The project is divided in different phases.
  • First Milestone: Land (10million)
  • Second Milestone: Phahse I, II are short term goals (by 2030) and other goals to be accomplished by 2035.
  • Phase I: Temp. parnasala type temple to start pooja activities (500.000)
  • Phase II: Venkateswara swamy main temple (15 million)
  • Phase III: Dattatreya swamy temple (15 million)
  • Phase IV: Shiva swamy temple (15 million)
  • Phase V: Community hall (15 million)
  • Phase VI: Sports hall (20 million)
